A deckbuilding roguelike in development at TACHA GAMES

AI / handmade ingredients

2026-10-28

A lot of this game is made with AI.

What I do myself: the design, turnarounds and illustrations for the 10 characters, how the cards play, the main melodies, and where the story goes. The code, the 3D and the pixel shaders are almost all done by AI.

Honestly, I use AI so I don't have to go back to a 9-to-5 grind 😅 I don't think AI can be a way to fulfill myself, but it can be a way to solve problems, including money ones.

Whether you have followed me since the first posts or found this project later, I want there to be an open, transparent place where you can check what it is made of. If AI use bothers you, it is completely fine to read the table first and decide.

How we pick tools

Before any AI tool goes in, there is a check of the candidates, their licenses and whether commercial use is allowed. The research and comparisons are kept in the project, along with which option was chosen and why the others were dropped. Models with regional license limits are noted separately.

Every 3D character is generated from my own drawings.

If the tools or the split of work change, I will come back and update this table.
